Jorge Espada is the Clinical Director of a prestigious center specialized in high performance sports and rehabilitation, where he is dedicated to the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of sports injuries. With more than 20 years of experience, Jorge has established himself as an expert in the treatment of sports injuries, back conditions and manual therapies for spinal cord and neurological diseases.
Trained in Physiotherapy at the University of Seville (2001) and Osteopathy at the Madrid School of Osteopathy (EOM) in 2007, Jorge also holds a master’s degree in injection therapy and musculoskeletal ultrasound from the University of London. His expertise includes the advanced use of musculoskeletal ultrasound for the diagnosis and treatment of muscle, ligament, tendon, joint and nerve problems. It also employs minimally invasive techniques, such as percutaneous intratissue electrolysis (PIE) and ultrasound-guided procedures for Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections.
Jorge has introduced into his practice innovative technologies for sports rehabilitation, such as eccentric training, isoinertial devices, Compex neuro-electro-stimulation, high intensity laser and radiofrequency. His focus on the treatment of tendon injuries, particularly Achilles tendon and rotator cuff, reflects his interest in complex injuries.
He has worked with elite teams such as the Sototennis Academy, the Jason Floyd Golf Academy, and has been the official physiotherapist for the Gibraltar National Rugby Team, the Spanish National Triathlon Team and at world kite surfing championships. Jorge’s experience and dedication have made him a reference in sports physiotherapy and rehabilitation.
